Know Your Numbers - Raising Funds for Family Violence Organisations

The Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat have launched their “Know Your Reading” campaign in conjunction with TAC Community Road Safety Grants.

Three breath testing machines have been installed by Breathometer at the Windermere Hotel, All Seasons (public bar) and the Lakeview Hotel. Patrons are able to take a reading to give an indication of their blood alcohol level and avoid risking their licence but more important the impact of careless driving which can cause death and destruction on our roads.

Through the TAC Community Road Safety Grants the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat were able to purchase the machines installed in the venues.  Patrons pay $2.00 to conduct the test.

These funds, after maintenance costs, are then donated back to community projects/organisations who assist those effected by family violence and also the Rotary Violence Free Families project (http://www.violencefreefamilies.org.au/).
