At tonight’s meeting it was a small group – a sign of winter with members heading to warmer climates. Janet over in Perth, Noel in Darwin enjoying barramundi and mud crab (naturally caught by him) and our intrepid trekkers, Charlie & Peter wandering the Kokoda trail.

On the health list we have Liz on watch with her daughter in Royal Melbourne following a fall from a horse, David looking after Joan who is not well and Glenn advised Kaylyn is also not feeling the best – speedy recovery to all.

A quick meal was had and then Glenn took members on a tour of Bendigo South West College whilst Roger, Judy & I finalised arrangements for the 30th Anniversary being held this Friday at the Sports Club.

Tour notes in the next Bulletin.

PLEASE REMEMBER – NO MEETING NEXT MONDAY NIGHT IN LIEU OF 30TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER.

Last Thursday Roger, Liz & David and I attended the ROMAC dinner where Gerry Philips told us about how the program was established by the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat after a trip to Fiji by Rotarian Barrie Cooper. From a humble beginning the program grew with involvement from other Bendigo Club’s to an international program. An inspirational talk highlighting how Rotary programs grow from humble beginnings.

Invitations to events include Rotary Engaged on the 19th (Rob attending), Bendigo Sandhurst 25th Anniversary on Saturday 1st June, the Charter night for the new club – June 6th.  Anyone wishing to attend please let me know.

From District the Charter night for the new E Club is coming up – details on District 9800 website.

At our meeting next Monday week Charlie will be talking on the Kokoda experience along with many “holiday” snaps – subject to them returning and being fit enough!

Until Friday night, have a wonderful week.
