Bendigo’s Big Book of Bargains
Discount Voucher Book
On Monday 7th December we held our launch of the Big Book of Bargains with Sue Masters from Haven Home Safe representing our major recipient for funds raised and Monica Lougon (Greater City of Bendigo). From our list of sponsors for the book Chris Corr (Stay Social), Sarah Andrews (Beechworth Bakery), Jim Brenan (Benstay Accommodation), Sally Girl (Bendigo Copy Centre) and the team from Goldfields Catering who also provided an excellent array of nibbles. The Bendigo Advertiser arrived to report on the event with many pics being shot.
Rotary put on a wonderful evening to launch the project with Bob and Noel looking after everyone. Speeches were made acknowledging Rotary District 9800 President Julie Mason who chose Bendigo for the 2016 Conference and their support of the voucher book by providing a book to each attendee (1,000 in total) who will be in Bendigo for conference March 2016 and to those who have been involved in stage 1 of the project. Networking President Glenn Taylor thanked Rotary for the opportunity to be involved giving local businesses in Bendigo a fantastic marketing tool to promote and increase business and Sue Masters rounding up with a thank you for supporting the Sydney Myer Haven Home Safe project.

Now the real work begins - selling the voucher book. Rotarians will continue their work on the project by being out in force selling. Everyone loves the savings and the idea that all money raised goes to Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat Youth Projects.
When you see the sign please put your hand in your pocket and purchase books for family, friends, business associates and anyone else you can think of.
A project for our Club to raise funds for Haven Home, Safe - assisting homeless youth and our many youth programs. The discount voucher book will have 80 coupons to redeem fantastic savings from a $10 bucket of balls at either the Australia Day weekend or Easter weekend Hole in One's. With many Cafe's, Restaurants, Motels and a huge variety of local business discounts this will be the best value in Bendigo. Check out the savings - nearly $9,000 all up.
