WELCOME
PP  Ian conducted the usual toasts to RI and Australia and welcomed members and guests. He also chaired the meeting.
 
APOLOGIES

REPORTS
International Chair and P/E Liz Bannon advised that a container will go to East Timor August- September and they are working hard on kits for girls. Also there is a team in Maubisse now.
Liz also spoke on her aims for next year.
  • Possible support for Bgo Volunteers Resource centre . This provided $6M in benefits last year to our area.
  • Need to work more closely with other local clubs. 9 clubs with 240 members.
  • Weekend at Camp Getaway, tree planting etc. New RI president wants each member to plant a tree before earth day.
  • Facebook page for our Club and events.
  • Combined Foundation dinner.
  • Swapmeet will go on. New 5 year agreement with options to extend.
  • Need for ALL to have working With Children cards. Also we need to look at Risk management assessment for every event.
  • Support 10 September fundraiser Sylvie Paladino and Victorian Welsh Choir.
  • Visits to other clubs/ fun nights.
 
PP Judy raised the matter of the BBQ roster and advised she would be glad to admit new persons to the roster.
 
BBQ/Bar Manager Bob W. advised that it may be necessary for members to meet with Poyser management as there has been no response to our march letter and some arrangements need clarification.. Poysers seem to have payments up to date but have requested invoices to be sent.
Also Bob not available for TAFE BBQ 0n 15 June. After considerable discussion the Club decided to proceed. Team will be Denis, Bruce, Peter and Mary
 
Club Service Chair Charlie raised the matter of purchase of local beer. After discussion 6 slabs are to be ordered for members.
BBQ at BUFS went well, $350 raised. Thanks to all involved.
 
Function Centre, Bruce,Lesley and Rob spent about 7 hours sorting and cleaning out office and storerooms over the weekend.. Inspection revealed that the place was unrecognizable. They have done an incredible job. Well done.
 
Function Centre Manager Phil advised Council will provide Aircon for kitchen. Lights will be changed to LED by end June. Also raised the need to build lockable store for gas bottles, anchor BBQs and modify gate locks. Phil also suggested means of progressing on the new BBQ trailer and the Committee will consider further.
 
Thank you to Charlie , Bob W. and Trevor who volunteered to be back up/emergency persons for this important community project.

This was conducted by Acting Sergeant  Ian and provided some hilarity despite the lack of even more truth relating to some fines.

This was  conducted tonight  without result possibly due to molly-dooker spinner..
