Each Wednesday night at 5.30pm a team of volunteers arrive at the Rotary Function Center with meals for those in need. A joint community project with the Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise (providing funds to purchase the meals), St John of God (providing the meals), Bendigo Bank & Bendigo Special Development School providing volunteers and Rotary providing the venue. A team effort.

If you know of families or people who need assistance please let them know we are here to help. Come along and enjoy a meal and companionship.

With the ever-growing number of disadvantaged families and individuals within the region there has been Soup Kitchen established for the Kangaroo Flat area.
The Kangaroo Flat Soup Kitchen runs on Wednesday evenings at the Rotary Gateway Function Centre from 5.30-6.30pm.

We are offering a main meal, with coffee or tea to anyone that comes through the door. All meals are served hot and participants can enjoy the company of several volunteers, or watch TV.

The initial funds required to begin the program have been supplied by Kangaroo Flat and District  Community Enterprise.
The food is prepared at St John of God Hospital and the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat has donated their facility for the project. Volunteers come along to setup, serve the meals and pack up.

If you would like to be part of this team please come along on a Wednesday night at 5.30pm.
