Liz attended Foundation dinner with Bendigo South at the Platinum Room. Stephanie Woollard spoke on Seven Women. Excellent evening. Also attended documentary shown at Star Cinemas. The organization has grown immensely from humble beginnings. Literacy groups have started in conjunction with the small business opportunities. Stephanie has been nominated for Australian of the Year.
Hole in One – aim to make logistics simpler, to protect walking path from people being hit and also selling tee’s. Tee’s selling at $300 each which includes both Australia Day and Easter hole in ones. Tim McCrohan Fixologist, Hardcopy, World of Tiles, Serenity, JG King Homes, Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise x 2, Godfrey Hirst (tbc) & Peter Spurling. Huge thank you to these sponsors. Just one more to be found.
Colin has organised fencing to hopefully stop balls going through. We now need to make logistics simpler. Main aim to improve setup and pack up. Working bee one Saturday for holes, etc. Well and truly on track. Four team captains, Ian, Charlie, Jill and Colin. Four day event. Ian recommended 3, 4 and 6 irons to be left in container. Some irons we are short on. Ian is trying to source additional clubs and also organising ball painting. Charlie advised MACE are happy to do all four days each hole in one for which we are grateful. Seeking donations for prizes to start in January – we may need to purchase some prizes. Huge thank you to Phil of Serenity Motorhomes for his continued support.
Happy birthday Denis.
Heads and Tails by Robyn with Katriona winning – the joker was still elusive.
A very busy week ahead – thank you to everyone for making all our projects happen.
Have a great week.
Yours in Rotary
